Anyone else get impacted?

I have been told by many to expect diarrhea the first week, but not me. I didn't have a bowel movement for 7 days, and then finally I got the "feeling". I was so happy, and then quickly realized it wasn't coming out on its own. I won't gross you out with the details, but it was extremely large and hard as a rock. Anyone else having this problem? I'm getting plenty of liquids in. I asked my surgeon today why, and he said he didn't know. Comments?

Guess no one else gets impacted LOL, figures it would just be me. Well, I had my impacted bowel movement on Sept 20th and as of yesterday, Sept 24th, NOTHING. I was afraid of another impaction, so I called my surgeon's office and they told me to take some milk of magnesia. Yucky, but it did the trick. Just in case anyone else is going through this and is embarrassed.

Shannon, My doctor wants my meals to be 3 oz of protein and 1 oz of either veggie or fruit. So I just started using baby jars of fruits!!!! The apple sauce was great and I'm hoping that keeps me "comfortable". Try that. Dawn
