6 Days to go.

My surgery is scheduled for Friday. I'm a bit concerened reading about the different diets people go on before the surgery. I was not asked to go on any special diet. I was told i can eat normally and stop eating at midnight the day before the surgery. Is EVERYONE outthere in a pre-surgery diet??

No...My surgeon told me the same thing. To stop eating at midnight before the surgery. I called and asked them if there was a special diet I had to follow a week before surgery since I had been reading a lot of people who were required to go on a liquid diet. Julie Main

Good, I was starting to get scared. I'm still going to try to eat light the day before, probably just have homemade soup and vegies. lol... I'm still a little scared. Thanks for responding, and congrats on your surgery date.. its just a few days after mine. I wish you a smooth uneventfull surgery, and a quick recovery!

My surgeon has not required has not required me to do any type of diet prior to surgery. I just have to drink citrate of magnesia the day prior to the surgery and no eating after midnight. We have the same surgery date. Kwheen.

Kwheen, My surgery is on the 24th. I was just curious where you are having your surgery? If you don't mind me asking. I live in Idaho and I'm flying to L.A. to have my surgery done. I was just wondering if we might be in the same hospital. I know it's proably a long shot. Good luck to you on friday!
