September 14 felt great in hospital now have severe heartburn
Had surgery 8:30 AM on Wednesday September 14th. Everythiong went well, was up and wlking around a 2pm. Newx day went through the drink study and ate a little jello, water and broth in Hospital.
Arrived home and tried a little broth and jello. I started to have severe pain which ramps up around the top of my stomach and then back down within about 10 to 15 seconds. This is happening almost all the time except if I do not move while sitting in a chair. I have also had some pains which shoot up to in back of my eyes, like a brain freeze when drinking something cold. Anyone have this type of pain????
Steven, I am sorry you are experiencing this discomfort. When I was in the hospital, I received reglan and protonix injections to help with acid reflux, and I was also prescribed protonix pills that I have been taking since I got home (surgery on 9/8 RNY Lap). Maybe you need something prescribed to handle that. Also try to make sure that you are not swallowing air when you drink. I hope you feel better soon!
