What is this rock in the pit of my stomach??
Hello gang....
Just wondering if anyone else experienced this feeling. My surgery is in 5 days and while I've thought I was very calm and prepared for the last two days I've had a stomach full of butterflies that seem to drop and turn into big boulders!! You'd think I was about to go on stage at Carnegie Hall or appear nude in public .....never felt such stage fright before!!
Jody
Hi Jody,
I also have that pit. Not only that I have become very moody. I am 12 days out and can't stop thinking about everything. It's 11:30 at night and I need to be up at 5:00 am to go to work. Instead of sleeping I am here getting the moral support I need. I wish you the best on your day keep posting to let us know how you are doing.
best luck

Hi Jody....
Realistically....you ARE going to appear nude in public! The public OR that is....sorry I couldn't resist. I'll go stand in the corner now.
My psych said that everything you are feeling is normal. You can't make a change this big and not be a little concerned. You'll do fine....just keep reminding yourself why you want to have this done. And think on those positives rather than all the 'what if's'. Keep your chin up and remember to let us know how you are doing!
Blessings,
Peggy
Hi Jody - Seems perfectly normal to me, and I don't go until Sept. 30th. Thought I'd gotten it all out of my system, and then sitting in the waiting room for my pre-op testing, I suddenly burst into tears! I was really surprised. So I'm thinking probably anything goes at this point.
Wishing you well,
Mary Mc
