I have my surgery time!!

I have to be at the hospital at 11:45 am on monday 09/19/05 and mysurgery will be at 1:45 pm I will be having my gallbladder out as well. I am so scared that I will not come through. Is this normal?????

Hi Jennifer, I am feeling scared also. I have been doing a lot more praying. I went for my preop appointment today and met 2 others also having the same feelings. The anesthesiologist tried to talk me out of the surgery. He let me in on a diet that worked for him. He lost 20 lbs, eating yogurt and sandwiches. I had to tell him there isn't anything he could say that would change my mind. He finally gave up. I am also so EXCITED sbout thr surgery. good luck and I will keep you in my prayers. I have to be there for my surgery at 5am, we will be driving from 1Am till 5am. Surgery is at 7am. We live 4 hours away. My fear is my heart. If they can keep my heart ticking I should be just fine. I am just starting to get nervous. Good luck to both of you.

Jennifer, I would think something was wrong with you if you weren't scared! i am worried. I don't have a gallbladder any more. otherwise it would be going too. am just glad that i have my date and just gotta think positive thoughts between now and then. Will be right behind you on the losers bench..i have to be in the hospital at 5 am....surgery at 7 Peggy
