Poop?

Not to gross anyone out, but has anybody that is over a week out still not pooped? I had the surgery 9/6 and have been doing great but still havent done it yet. I dont feel like I need to either, just wondering....

Philip's Milk of Magnesia? It's normal, but you do want to poop. Ask your Dr. what they recommend ! Feel better !!! Kym from NH

hi amy, i was done 9/7 did not go for 6 days and i think this causes mental and physical stress . i took a liquid stool softner called docusate sodium . i took it twice, 12 hours apart and then i went . check with your m.d. or dietition, good luck. joyce

I had the opposite problem, everything ran right through me quickly... wish I could help! Definitely talk to the doc though, they might want to make sure there isn't any blockage. My bf had this surgery and told me that constipation is normal, so maybe you just need some time? I dont' know HUGS Rachel

I had surgery the same day as you....and i am pooin every time i turn around....you really need to call your doc.... drink your water and walk....while your waiting to talk to the nurse.. Debbie

I had this problem only the first time. Water. Baby food prunes. Walk. Milk of magnesia. water. Walk......Success. Ah! relief. Seriously,relieving this worry was sign to me that my body was really functioning. Call the dr. for tips. a week is on the longside. Jeannie
