Help with BlueCrossBlueSheild
Has anyone had blue cross blue shield insurance and gotten them to pay for the surgery. My friend in Co. has just started investigating RNU surgery and her insurance told her they would only pay $7,500 toward the surgery. Help with info please!

2 weeks post op & doing great
Hi:
As far as I know, it's not necessarily the insurance company but the policy your employer purchased from them. For example where I work that didn't purchase the "whole package" and chose to not get the part that covered weight loss anything.
Not much information, but I hope it helps a little.
Congrats on being two weeks out and doing great. I'm getting my "bandster" in one more week and I can't wait!!
Smiles,
Karrie

I HAVE BLUECROSSBLUESHIELD THROUGH THE GOVERNMENT. I FOUGHT WITH THEM FOR 6 MONTHS TO APPROVE ME. I FINALLY GOT APPROVED AND HAD MY SURGERY ON SEPT 6, 2005. I HAD TO THE DOCTOR 3 THOUSAND AND THE HOSPITAL 300.00 BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT ON MY PLAN. I HAD TO GO TO VICTORIA, TX BECAUSE THIS SURGERY IS NOT DONE IN CORPUS CHRISTI, TX.
