Encouraging Words To Pre-Op Patients.

Well I can hardly believe it 5 yrs ago today, Sept 13, 2000 I was in the same place where all of you are, anticipating having your surgery. Well it has been a log hard 5 yrs but let me tell you folks this, it was well worth it. When I first thought of having surgery my (then wife) was against me having it done well there is an update to this story, I was her angel she had her surgery in March of this year, after fighting with insurance companies etc. she has lost almost 100lbs in 6 mo. Myself I am now down to 217 after 5 yrs, and feel great. It takes alot of faith to go through this step and you need to be strong,you are going to have a lot of people look up to you but let me tell you it is well worth it. My prayers are with all of you. Hi Jeff, Congratulations on your awesome accomplishment and tell your wife congrats, too! It is life-changing I know. My sis had it done in 2000 and has lost 180# and things couldn't be better for her. My faith is very strong and I have no doubt that God will see me through this surgery with flying colors. Thanks for the wonderful words of encouragement. Thus far I have been really calm, and content in my choice. But, it is sooooo good to hear it from someone who has been such a success over along period of time.It comforting to know that we have not been forgotten.Thank you again for the nice words and the prayers. Thanks --I needed to hear the encouraging words--I am just beginning my two week pre-op Liquid diet --My surgery is going to take place on September 28th. I am so happy to have found a web-site where I can see the before and the after any time I need encouragement!

I just started the liquid pre-op diet. I think that I am more nervous about sticking to the pre-op regimen than the actual surgery. How are you doing? So far, so good
