I AM SO SUPER EXCITED!!!

Next Monday, on the 19th, I go in for lap-band surgery! Holy Granola! I can hardly wait! I have been so ready for so long and it is going to be one of the best things I've ever done for myself! I just saw my last "fat" summer come to an end! Next year I will be smaller than I am now, for the first time in a very long time! This is so awesome what we are doing for ourselves. And, just in case you think I haven't read all the crying face posts...I have. I've been researching this for almost a year (10 months) and I know it isn't going to be just easy with no pain or frustration, but good grief, a light at the end of a long climbing tunnel is still a light at the end of a tunnel!!! I am so flippin' excited I just walk around with a permanent bounce in my step and a secretive little smile on my fabulous fat face!!! YIPPEEEE!!!

There! I did a little dance for of us our Monday, rebirth. I am sooo excited about it, too, hon'. I've been heavy my whole life and it's not any fun, is it? I read your profile and we have alot in common, I think. I am a happy, optimistic person myself and love life. It's just this fat bod keeps me from doing the things in life I'd love to do. Now, airplanes and rollercoasters are OUT, but I'd love to fit in a booth without my roll lying on the table. I'd love to be a jogger, I think that would be sooo cool. There's so much more I could say about THAT!!! Yes, this is not going to be pain-free, but that's okay, because there IS a light at the end of the tunnel. Living like we are living now, continually failing at diets, it's like we're swimming in circles and getting nowhere. I am VERY psyched with ya, girl!!! :D Keep us posted. Good luck Monday. Hey K. K. I will be joining you on Monday as well . I am having the DS and I am excited and nervous at the same time. I am still packing my bag for the hospital. I hope I don't have too much stuff (lol). I will be praying for all of us who will be starting a new an improved lift. I know we are not in for a cake walk but I believe we all will do well. My BIG day is Monday also. I am so ready for it. I know it will be a hard and painful recovery but I look forward to climbing that tunnel because we will be able to do that without heavy breathing. Good luck and a speedy recovery for you and all the other 9/19ers!
