Pre-op HUNGER!!
Hi Kelly,
It's so ironic to see your post because I just logged in to see if anyone was complaining about their preop diet because I was feeling quite sorry for myself and was thinking I, too, was being a baby. I just started mine yesterday and I have been SO hungry today that I finally caved this evening. I'm traveling and was with customers all day and I was just SO hungry by the time I got to my hotel. So I ordered some chicken soup up from room service which is fine, but also got a chefs salad. I just ate some of the turkey and cheese off of the top - no dressing. I think I'm going to call the dietition tomorrow and discuss. I did okay the first day, but I've still got 12 days to go, so I need to get it together. Hearing about the man who had such major complications because of his liver size is, to say the least, sobering and illustrates the importance of sticking with the preop diet! Thanks for the post - it helps knowing I'm not alone! Good luck to you and God bless!

Hi Everyone,
I hope you all are feeling a bit better about your fast. It IS hard, to say the least, but it's possible. For a few days there, not only was I hungry, but with fall coming-ragweed and mold are VERY high here and my allergies had me into an all out allergy attack. Couldn't think hardly. So that's adding insult to injury! I went to the clinic yesterday afternoon though and got a shot and feel 100% better today, thank God. Now, I figure if God can just let me keep my allergies under control, I can handle the hunger for 5 more days! THEN, we won't be hungry, they say. Won't THAT be ! Yay for us!!!! Let's keep in contact.
Blessings,
Kelly
