Does anyone know how it is decided which one you will get distal or proximal RNY? I don't want to just lose 65% which is what my doctor told me is the average. I really want to lose it all! I heard you lose more with proximal but I am not sure.
I don't know how it's decided, just know that it's the difference between the length of intestine bypassed... I think it would be best to talk with you surgeon about this one!
