Anyone having surgery on September 26?
I'm getting nervous and excited about the opportunity for a new life! I am 55 and wonder how hard the recuperation will really be. I've read numerous posts--it seems that some folks end up in the ICU and others go on with their lives with just minor interruptions and inconveniences. I know everyone's experience is different...but some of the profiles are very scary.
Hey ! I am having my surgery on 9/26/05. I am nervous but I know that is normal. Everything is gonna be alright.
Donna I am having surgery 9/26/05 as well I am really excieted and nervous at the same time. I as well have heard the scary stuff and also had two friends have the surgery one had no events and the other almost died. both have said they would do it all over again. the one that almost died said she would do it again just she would do more study on who the Dr. is. Recovery is different for all but my surgon has got us walking and doing breathing exersize and meditation she says she wants her patients to recover as quick and fast as they could. she says the more in shape you are the easier and quicker you heal.
