Any others having surgery on 9/13/05??

It is so hard to believe that the 13th is almost here. I am finding myself a bundle of nerves and my hubby and kids are staying clear of me!!LOL.My Mom asked me today if I am afraid of having the surgery.I told her I am more afraid of what will happen if I don't have the surgery. This past year has really been a rough one for me, in terms of my decline in health. I am just so ready to feel healthier.Two of my sisters are thin and always have been so. Both have asked me if I am excited at being able to finnally shop for "cute" clothes...geezs...that is last on my list of reasons for having WLS. I find being able to put my own socks and shoes on again more important then what kind of socks and shoes they are. I am just in a nervous rant..LOL I am praying all pre-ops have a safe,uneventful surgery and recovery! and for all the post-ops continued healing and blessings! Hugs, Lori

Hey Lori, I am 4 days post op and feel ok. I was blessed to have an uneventful surgery and that was really all that mattered to me. I like yourself, felt scared, but I prayed everyday and just surrounded myself with positivity! It really made a diiference. Now as you prepare to go for surgery, remeber that You are on the road to a new and fun you. You are loved by many but most of all by God. He will bring you through it and you will be on your way to recovery...sugar-freepopsicles, jello,water, juice etc. PS..keep in mind that the food comes later, but it will come.
