Surgery on Monday!

Hey Erin! I hear you totally! I never thought I would get past the approval stage. With all the problems and conflict I ran into, I can't wait to just get this done!! I'm terribly excited! I'll keep you in my thoughts. T

Hiya Tami! My surgery is Monday morning at 7am also. The hospital is an hour and a half from my house and I have to be there at 5:30am so I am leaving at 3:45am to be on the safe side. I wish I could stay the night in EL Paso, but I want to kiss my kids right before I leave, though not wake them up. A friend is sleeping over here to wake them for school Monday morning. I start my liquid diet and bowel cleansing today YIPPEE (or not lol). Good luck to you!! Beth

Hi Beth! I'm really lucky that my hospital is just down the road. It'll take me longer to park than it will to actually drive there. Have a very safe trip and and a smooth recovery. My liquid diet starts tomorrow...Should be interesting! T

Hi All... My surgery is Monday morning also and I am so ready to get it going! I am one of those people that when I decide to get something done...I want it done NOW. And waiting for this has had me in knots...until this week. Last week I was angry and weepy and whiny and every other emotion you could dream. Then sometime over the weekend I made peace with myself and have been calm ever since. I am ready and I have tried to deal with all the doubts and concerns I have. I keep telling myself to think of where I will be in a year if I don't have the surgery and where I will be in a year if I do. That has helped me the most. So....if I have any sleepless nights now....it's just cause I'm excited and ready to go! (That or I have to run to the bathroom because of the lovely bowel prep!) Well Tami gl on your surgery mine isn't until the 26th of sept but I am already nervous,but I know God will be my co-pilot and see us all thru this. Well good luck again and speedy recovery. shirley

Hi Tami, I am having my surgery on Monday too! At 1:30 pm---wow! I read your profile and you had me laughing so hard. Plus, I am a reader too! I keep telling myself that the weeks after surgery on not an opportunity to read as many books as I can, but WALK as much I can! And, like you, the nerves are starting to set in. Eeeeek! Tami, I am also having surgery on Monday. 8:30 A.M. You will do fine on the liquid diet. I have been on a clear liquid diet since Tuesday. The first 3 days were the worst. Good luck to you. You will be in my thoughts & prayers. hugs, Debi
