I am exactly one week today post op, and am doing absolutely wonderful. I am absolutely blessed! My surgery was on Friday, September 2, 2005 at 7:30, and Dr. Duncan did perform my surgery. I have had absolutely no problems what so ever thus far. I was released from the hospital Saturday at around 1:30 after passing my leak test with no problems. I am already eating little bits at a time of course of real food. I have lost, according to my scales, 15 pounds already. Today is my first day back to work and one of my co-workers said it looked like I had lost some weight. She of course new I was going to have the surgery so I told her I had lost 15 pounds. She just said I thought so I can tell. I am glad to be on the loosing side.

Wow Teena! You seem to be doing great. Here I am feeling like garbage a week out and still taking my codeine! I am here hoping to be strong enough for a half day starting the 19th LOL... More than anything, I'm hoping that by then the upper incision for the lap rny I had will be healed enough that wearing a bra doesn't kill me... my bra band rubs right against it. Glad you're doing so well! HUGS Rachel

;-DWOW Teena, you are already back at work!!!!!!! This is awesome. I told my employer that I only wanted to be of for two weeks, and they are like are you I am not that kinda chick to just be at homw doing nothing. I do not have a strenous(sp?) job so I don't see what the problem would be. My doctor told me after the two week check up he'd release me if he saw that I was ready to go back. I am happy to hear that you are doing so well. Kwheen

Wow.. Back at work after a week. I am having my surgery on the 19th, and I am going to take 3 weeks off. I will try to go back after 2, but I teach preschool, and I have a screamer in my class who will be holding your hand, and drop to the floor with you still holding on. She is a fighter, and it usually gives me a work out. For this reason, I am taking 3 weeks. When you have 11- 3 year olds wanting you to push them on the swing, and help them on the climbing structures, it would be hard to go back after 1 week. Or even two.. But it is very encouraging that you were able to go back so quickly, and it gives me lot and lots of enthusiasm that I can bounce back quickly. Thanks for your post. It helps alot.. Jill
