Introducing myself.

Hey everybody, My name is Renee (duh!). I go for my RNY through the cori centers on the 15th of this month. Yikes. I live in the Chicago area. I am 24 and have two beautiful children, 5 years old and 6 months old. My Husband and I separated over a year ago and the outlook on that isn't good. I've been overweight since I had my daughter 5 yrs ago and I can't wait to be on the other side. You guys all seem like such a close group of people and i've been reading your profiles for the past couple months. My family and friends arent too supportive of my decision to have the surgery so i'm hoping to find all the support I need from you guys. Renee P.S - I emailed html help for my profile a couple weeks ago. Does anyone know how long it normally takes for them to respond?

Welcome Renee! I am sorry your family isn't being very supportive of you My mother and MIL are being awesome, but since my DH is in the military, we live far away from any help we could get post-op anyhow. My hubby is taking time off of work to take care of the children and me. DO you have someone who is going to help you out for awhile? I can imagine it will be difficult with a small baby at home and not being able to lift over 10 lbs in the beginning. I wish you the best Renee!! Beth

Hi Renee, Good luck on your surgery. Kudos to you for being strong enough to still try to care for yourself with 2 little ones home.I will keep you in my prayers.
