CANCELING SURGERY

I MAY HAVE TO CANCEL SURGERY , MY CHILDCARE JUST CANCELED ON ME! I HAVE A 5 MONTH OLD AND A TWO YEAR OLD...HUBBY CANT TAKE OFF..(OWN BUSINESS..NO WORK NO PAY)...MORE THAT TWO DAYS A WEEK....I'VE BEEN TOLD IT WILL BE AT LEAST SIX WEEKS BEFORE I CAN PICK UP THE 5 MONTH OLD...WHO WEIGHS 17 POUNDS....SO IT LOOKS LIKE I AM FORCED TO CANCEL..UNTIL I CAN FIND RELIABLE CARE FOR THE CHILDREN...FEELING SO DOWN...I WAS TOLD BY MY PCP THAT I NEEDED TO COME IN FOR PRESSURE MEDICATION...THOUGHT THIS SURGERY WOULD RELIEVE ME FROM THAT BURDEN...BUT TUESDAY I WILL HAVE TO GO AND GET THEM... ALSO POSTED ON THE MAIN BOARD, WOULD LIKE SUGGESTIONS.

I am so sorry to hear about you having to cancel surgery. Were you planning on having an open surgery? Maybe you can find someone to help you, or another childcare situation before your surgery. I will continue to pray that there is a remedy to your situation other than cancelling surgery. Jill

Why not put an ad out for one of the refugees from New Orleans, and see if any of them would like a little work? I know there are about a million displaced people right now, so there's got to be SOMEBODY who's available. --BT

OH NO!!! We were told at Dr. Duncan's meeting with us Pre-Ops that our lifting limit was 20 pounds....there was a woman there who has a 7 month old who was at 20 pounds and he told her that was fine. Hope you reconsider, please pray about it and the answer will come. It may also be that God wants you to wait because His time is not right. I will say a prayer for clarity on this situation for you. I am having LAP and I called my surgeon's office again to double check and again 2-4 weeks no heavy lifting....6-8 weeks back to normal....i definetly have o re-schedule.
