Finally my time is here!

It is so exciting to realize that it is only 2 more days and I will be having my surgery. I want to take this time an let everyone know that I have to give all the thank to God and my husband, Roy, because without them this would not be happening. I tried for almost 4 years to get this approved and kept being turned down. My husband is a man of action. He watched me become more and more disappointed with each denial and finally he said enough is enough. Making it a matter of earnest prayer, he got the cash together and presented it to me making a long dream come true. I have been overweight all my life. I know the surgery is not a miracle but I believe that God uses medical science to bring about miracles and now is my time.

Good luck Valerie! I'm right behind you, September 14th! Just think how much smaller we'll be by the Christmas. In fact, for the first time in many years I know we won't be making that vow to lose weight on New Year's Eve, because we will already be doing it

Hi Valarie! I am so excited for you. I know the time has passed slowly and quickly all at the same time and now it is upon you. My thoughts and prayers will be with you Tuesday that the surgery will be "textbook" and you will soon be joined by family and friends in celebration of your new beginning! I am so happy for you! I will keep you in my prayers. I am having surgery on the 19th. I am happy and I am very nervous. Most of all I have dreamed of this for a very long time and I can't wait to start feeling better and to be able to do many things that I haven't been able to do for many years.
