Alot to talk about!!! We are all going to have our dates this month! I am very excited. This is my last weekend before surgery! READY SET LET'S GET READY TO LIVE!!!!!!

Are any of you as nervous as I am? My RNY is scheduled for Sept. 27.

Absolutely! But I just keep focusing on a positive outcome. Though we all know that there are risks, the truth is that most all come through it fine and go on to be much happier and way healthier. I have faith in God and that helps me tremendously! I'll be 1 day post-op when you have your surgery and I have a feeling we're both going to be just fine! God bless! Karen 9-26-05

I just found out that my insurance company approved my surgery. I have a date for Sept 14th!! It has all been somewhat abstract so far. Now, the reality will set in and I'll start to get nervous. I just hope that nervousness doesn't lead to uncontrolled eating. I want to stay on a very low fat diet for these next two weeks - hopefully that will remove some of the fattiness from my liver and it won't get in the way during surgery... I know you all wish me luck. I'm glad I found this site. It helps to hear from others who have gone through anything and everything that I might encounter. Teana

Hi Teana! Congratulations on getting the approval for your surgery! I fought with mine for over 6 months and was turned down twice before they approved me, so I know how happy you must feel to be approved. Best of luck! I used to live in Massachusetts (Marlboro & Leominster) and being in medical sales, I know that the hospitals there are wonderfull. So, I'm sure all will go well and you'll soon be telling us about your experience and how the pounds are dropping away! God bless! Karen

Ohhhh...my date is Sept 14th too!! And Im really getting nervous,,Ive been a grouch one minute,,and hyper the next. My husband just looks at me and grins. Im glad he understands! One minute I can't wait,,the next Im wondering if this will be my last September,,,anyone else doing that?? I was even looking at caskets on ebay!! Oh well,,its a roller coaster ride right now,,,but it's gonna be worth it all!! I am so anxious for my rebirthday!! Good luck to us all!!!

Betsy, Sounds like you and I got on the same roller coaster!! I am trying so hard just to concentrate on daily living so I don't go to EBAY oh well, I can't wait for the new I even got my hair cut yesterday I am thinking my husband might kill me in the process of all of this...he trys to understand but i think i might be somewhat of a witch right now.... oh well, i know he will stick it out.... he has to he just keeps promising a shopping trip to cali....i can't wait!!
