Ok I am now freaking out!!!!

I just called the doctor to see if I can take a cough drop because I have some drainage into my through. I don't know if it is a cold or my allergies but I don't feel sick. Well.....he calls and tells me he may postpone the surgery because it could be a virul cold which would put me at risk for pneaumonia. What!!!!!!!!!! I mean I have arranged everything for this to happen tomorrow. My husband is going on vacation and everything. Now don't get me wrong I care about my health and don't want complications but man this is sooooo inconvenient and I really do think it's my allergies. Can someone talk to me please.

OMG, Kimmy, I'm so sorry this is happening to you. Suggest you take your temp and see if it is even slightly elevated. If not, you are probably just suffering allergies. Are you on his record as having allergy problems? If so, you can point that out to him. But if you have even a slight fever, I wouldn't chance it. I arrived for my surgery Monday to be told it was cancelled - my surgeon got sick. You never know what's going to happen. Now I have to wait until September 12. I'm not happy about it, and it has definitely put my and my support system's lives at an inconvenience. But that's life. I just want you to know that life does go on after a cancellation of surgery. By this time next year, we'll be able to look back (from our svelte bodies) and laugh at it all.

Yeah thats how I am looking at it, if he postpones then that is what is meant to be. Whats crazy is I just had my preop testing and I didn't have any fever or anything. That was on Monday! Man the luck I have I tell ya!!!
