Finally approved by Aetna after 2nd appeal!!!

I had almost given up! I had been jumping through hoops for months and was turned down twice. For those of you who fight the good fight for sometimes a year or more, my hat is off to you because it is a real roller coaster ride! Anyway, I'm absolutely thrilled, heading toward nervous and scared, but I know without doubt that this is meant to be! My date is Sept 26th - please say a prayer for me and I'll be doing the same for all of you! God bless! Karen

Congrats!!! Glad you kept up the fight! I, luckly, was approved the first time out, even though it did take 5 months. My insurance required a second opinion. Thank god I didn't have to fight them!!! I will be thinking about you on my surgery date! Sept. 14 (by the way). Carrie

WAY TO GO KAREN!!!!! I fought that fight for almost 3 years. I understand the battle and the defeat that almost came with it and the elation that is felt when you receive the APPROVAL letter. I will be praying for you that you have wonderful results and quick recovery. My surgery is on 9-13-05....God Bless...Carmen

Hi Karen congrats on your persistence. I was ready to fight if I was turned down, but I was so fortunate. I have two insurances, my husband has Weyco and I have BCBC PPO. I was approved on the first try! They couldn't believe it, nor could I . I will keep all of us in my prayers as I know most feel like myself, excited as heck, but anxious about the "new life" we are embarking on. Keep in touch. Janice
