Good Idea Betty!!! I have been a DES and CPS certified childcare provider since 1989. When I moved to NY for my husbands job, I took care of my nephews but was unable to open my childcare again because of the small size of the house we were able to rent. I started back to school full time and part time for the past 2 years. Now I am moving into a new house as soon as we can get the paperwork done, so I now.... I am a wife, homemaker, and mother of 5 yr old Katrina, 8yr old JT, and 18 yr old Brietta. I will be starting my childcare again as soon as we move into our new house and will offer my ASL skills to deaf/HoH children. I sell Jewels by Park Lane...if anyone is interested, please let me know and I will offer my September buddies more than anyone else can!!! I am on the PTA of my kids 2 schools. I am a Webelos den leader and Cub Scout Pack Committee Chair. I am an inactive member (unfortunately) of Sigma Phi Gamma women's community service sorority. I love my life, too!!!! Thx Betty, Donna ps BTW you look just like an old friend of mine from AZ named Sandee!! I get a warm nastalgic feeling each time I see your face!!

Hi, I am 47 and a self employed seamstress and the bookkeeper of my husbands landscaping business. I have 6 children: 3, 2 girls & one boy, from my first husband and each of them as supplied me with a grandson. 2, one girl one boy, from my second marriage with my daughter just left to college and my son just starting high school. My son is a starter on the Varsity Football Team, he is fit as a fiddle and got muscles coming out the yinyang! 1 step daughter who is in 8th grade and lives with us. My husband is 13 years younger than I am and loves me so much. He says he will support me if I have or don't have the surgery, but wants me to be happy. My sister had the RNY last year and is doing great, she is my inspiration. She looks great. I love sports, gardening, fishing, sewing, knitting, and many things that I don't do due to lack of energy. So Sept 1st is the first day of the rest of my life. Lori Chapel Hill, NC

I see a pattern starting here. 2 nurses and 2 day care providers! Cool. Well I fit in: I am currently a CNA, worked in the ICU for 1 year, at night, but left for a more "normal" job. I miss my work at the hosital a lot. I am planning on going back to nursing school someday, hopefully in 2007. I was accepted in to the RN program at my local community college in fall of 04. I planned on starting school, but the financial situation just didn't happen. I have a 26 month old daughter, Tatumn. She is so beautiful!!! Everyday she does something that amazes me. My husband Chris is currently going to culinary school, what a great choice of career with a "big" wife. Kind of ironic. Oh yeah, and he also sells Tastefully Simple too. For all of you who don't know what it is, it is gourmet food made simple. The stuff they sale is REALLY good!!! Oh, my surgery date is Sept. 14 (21 days to go!!!) Well it was really good meeting all of you! Carrie
