Sept 19th Buddies

Hey We are less than a month away!!! 4 weeks and 2 days!!! I have been a bit down, but am getting more excited at the same time as the date draws near!! Just thought I'd share!! Donna

Hi Donna, I have my surgery date on September 20th. I have been having anxiety in regards to my surgery. I have evey confidence in my surgeon. It is the unknown that is giving me anxiety. I feel that I am good hands. I guess I can also do the countdown, 4 weeks and 3 days from now. Please don't hesitate to write me, it's nice to know that I can converse with someone who is just a day away from my date. I have a friend that had his surgery done at the Wish Center in Renton 4 months ago and he has lost 72 lbs. I saw him the other night and hardly recognized him, he looks great. We are truly September buddies. Mine is the same date and I have been excited since I was approved on June 26th. I cannot stop thinking about it. My hubby finally got me on the ball in June to begin trying different protein drinks and bars and different things so I can be ready. I am so thankful to have such a caring, loving and supportative husband. Wishing you also lots of luck and don't be down just think of the new journey you are taking and how much better you will feel. Good Luck my September buddy!

Mine is scheduled on September 19th as well! I've been looking forward to this for so long! I look at this date almost as a re-birthday! Good luck and God bless to al lof us September buddies!

Kyle, I have not seen you on the board!!! We have a man with us on the 19th!!! LOL A re-birthday!!! I can't wait!! Kyle, my huband is approx 500lbs and has so many issues like you. You look much younger than he is...I am so glad you are doing this now. You will have such a long life ahead of you with so fewer worries!!! Congrats on your decision!!! We are starting quite a journey and I am very thankful that we have buddies to share it with! Donna

I'll be 27 on Aug 30th. Did my psychiatric evaluation today. Thought I was gonna have my head shrunk, but it only took about 10 minutes and the doctor was awesome! Stopped by and weighed in at my surgeon's office while I was there too. I'm down another 6 pounds! That's -22 since around the beginning of June. Yay

Hey Deborah, have you tried the EAS Advant Edge chocolate whey? it is really good!!! I am really picky about my chocolate and I like it. I have tried about a dozen of the protein shakes in all flavors...it is the only one I have found that I do not contort my face up into a circus freak just to keep down!!! LOL Keep smiling!! I can hardly believe it either--less than a month! The closer it gets the more real it all seems. I just want to be DONE with the surgery part. Cheer up Donna, it'll be the 19th before you know it. Congrats to all the other 19ths and ALL the Septembers here... Holly

Yeah, 4 weeks and just a few hours to go. I am going hard core liquid diet tommorow i have lost about 6 kilos or 13 pounds (sorry about the bad conversion) already and that was with 2 çhoc shakes'and i use that term loosley and a healthy dinner as well as 2 apples a day 3 litres of water and sugar free gum. I heard from the hospital on thursday so i have to go and see them on the wednesday before hand. I said to the girl i had been waiting for her call for ages. Anyway must dash. Trying to get some assignments done so i can relax post op. Cheers Al
