i have my band in my bedroom!

this is so weird! i'm being banded on sept 5th, and just got my approval on thursday. at the same time, the insurance people called the medical supply company they work with, who delivered my band to my HOUSE by courier. i'm in israel, and things are a bit different here, but it's so weird that it's here looking at me in the box, and not just going to be at the hospital, ykwim? at least they're not making me bring the scalpel! oh- and i had to write a check for $2500 that they won't cash, but keep as a security until i come back after the surgery and prove it was implanted in my body isn't that crazy!!???? i guess they've had issues with band theft! gotta love living in a place with socialized medicine!

Had to read this one because of the subject line... I thought I was going to die... the thought of having it in my room would make me nutsy LOL...
