Set for Puerto Vallarta

Well guys, just finding my way around this wonderful web site. Got my deposit in, just got confirmation on my tickets and I'm set to have surgury on Sept 5. Labor Day. I'll be having the RnY and then recovering for a week and an half in a nice hotel. Certainly took me a bit to get used to the "hotel recovery room" idea.

My insurance company doesn't consider any weight loss anything to be covered. So this is coming out of my own pocket. I can get the surgury done for $12,000, including airfare. I will stay in the hospital for 3 days and a 5 star hotel for 10 days while the doctor comes daily to check on me. They've been doing these procedures in Mexico longer than we have in the US. I'm using Dr. Joya and he seems to have almost twice the experience as the doctors in my area. Good luck to you too. Evie

I hear that. Amazing how we think the US sets the standard, and then find out we're actually behind the curve when it comes to this. I think a lot of that has to do with the insurance companies denying so many people. There would be a lot more willing to have it done if they didnt' have to fight denials or self-pay.
