Excited & Nervous

Hello! Nice to meet every one!! My date is 9-7-05. I am nervous but also very excited! I have been considering this surgery for 2yrs. I went to Dr. O'Brien 2yrs ago thinking about Gastric Bypass. After talking to my husband and doing research decided too many risks. This year on my Birthday I decided to go back in for another meeting. I chose Lap-Band due to less complications. Quitting smokeing has been rough but it will be worth it. I cant wait to have it over and to be on my way to being a new person.

Way to go Tammy, stopping smoking is a great first step in getting healthy, and from what I know, if you can do that, you can handle this surgery. I am excited for you, and understand the nerves!!! I have both and I have surgery for Sept 1! I don't know if I would be able to handle all of this if I hadn't gotten a job that I start on Monday, I think I'd end up going completely bonkers here!
