9/13/05 REV--->DS

Hi, I got my date. I am calling this a revision because that's what the insurance company calls it. (When they denbied me.) An upper GI shows no sign of a staple line at all, so how can you revise what ain't there? But I guess all the re-plumbing they did exists. My first surgery was an RNY with a horizontal staple line. I guess I am showing my age! Doc says that they are almost all vertical now. I could have had another RNY, but he seemed to recommend---without doing it outright---a DS. Maybe because of scar tissue? But I am wondering---if the staple line for my pouch totally disappeared, then if this time they trim my stomach away, what happens if the staple lines go away again? Does that make sense? Do I have free floating food in my system? I am really excited but also nervous. I could use a lot more reassurance then I am getting in my household. Are you all getting plenty of support from family and friends? Congrats to all! Darlene
