My surgery is Sept 6th, My biggest fear is that Aetna will disappointment me. I live in the Bronx, NY so my surgery is at Lenox Hill Hospital. I can't wait to go to the beach without wearing a huge T shirt. I can't wait to shop in regular stores. I can't wait to stop feeling that others are looking at me and wacthing what I eat. Mostly I cant wait to get my life back

Sept 15th in Curitiba, Brazil w/Dr Marchesini I'm most happy about the support that I have received from nearly everyone I've talked to. I hear nightmare tales from others, but my whole family has all been great. THEIR biggest concern is me going out of the country ("Is it safe? Are you going to get cheated?") Fears....Hmm - I'm not really afraid of dying. My whole family is pretty pragmatic about stuff like that. My biggest fear related to reality is that I won't be able to get there (ie - the airline literally discontinued all flights on the schedule I wanted.) My biggest irrational fear is that it won't work. That I'll be the one person it won't work for, and that nothing will happen or I'll gain weight. That was the end result of the last (and really ONLY) successful weight loss I've ever had. I really feel like this is an alchemel time in my life though, like I have a unique window of opportunity in which magic could really happen. So pardon me, while I close my eyes, and wish upon a star!

Hi! I don't have a definite date yet, but am told it willbe in Sept. I will be having surgery at Kaiser in Fremont, Ca. My biggest fear is the anesthesia. I haven't had surgery before, except for C-section, in which I had an epidural. I still have 5 lbs to loose so that is a struggle. I have already lost 20 so I have done pretty good. My surgeon says he will not dothe surgery unless I hit my goeal, which is 220. Today I am 225. I am most happy about feeling good about myself, not worrying about hiugh blood pressure and most of getting rid of that darn CPAP. I have a hard time wearing the mask, so I tend to not use it and then I am tired and low energy...you know it just keeps going.
