Still around. Just lurking here and there. Been keeping real busy. House projects, shooting classes, motorcycle riding, RV trips, Vacations, oh and to fill the cracks I have been working as well. I am staying right at the 200lb mark +/- 5. This is my acceptable weight. I am preparing to take some martial arts classes. Health wise I am doing wonderful.

I've been around, but have been super busy this month due to our move from RI to CT, both kid's bdays, etc. We're finally moved in and settled. It seemed like it would never get here. I'm very happy. I've been stuck at 200 for almost a year now, but, with 135 lbs lost, I'm not worried. I've not gained anything back and that's good for me. I used to gain one pound or more in a couple of days before surgery if I ate wrong foods. I've got to get a bit back on track. We've been eating out way too much and too big of portions. Not good. Hang in there, don't beat yourself up. As long as you don't gain, give yourself a break. Look at how much you've lost already. Maybe your body is done losing...It'll be pound by pound from now on. Hey Michelle! Im here! I come over and lurk every once in wahile, but there are hardly any posts here. I post daily on the Over Fifty Forum,, I tried that other site too, and agree,,too mean! Ill stick with this one, its never done me anything but good, so why change now? Im maintaining at around 140 pounds off, which puts me at around 192 pounds. Today I started back to basics though, would love to see that last 17 pounds come off! Ive been busy too, gardening, vacationing, walking a lot, just everyday living. Life is so much better than it used to be! I can actually move now! I wear a size 12-14, and love that,,some 16s in the hip area, depends on how they are made. Everyone says I look a lot smaller than that though. I struggle with the carb and sugar monster, cause I dont dump much, usually on fats when I do. Every day is a challenge. Ice cream, has been my craving lately, so I try to stick to sugar free low fat when I do indulge. By the way, you look great!! So young and pretty! Congrats! Well, better go get some crystal lite,, Blessings Betsy

Wow i didn't even realize there had been any big ban or people leaving the website. I'm sorry to hear that. I am still around. I usually check in once a week or so but since there aren't many posts I don't have much to say. I've been doing good. Maintaining 125-130 since November and training right now for a full marathon in Sept, just one day after my 2yr surgery anniversary! I hear everyone on the carbs and sugar. I have done pretty well keeping myself in check but I can tolerate both without much problem (have not had a LOT of sugar but I know I can eat one cookie for instance) so it can be hard sometimes. My theory is I want to live as normal a life as possible though so if I can have the occassional treat in moderation and not regain any weight then I see on harm in it. Betsy-you posted the one time on wlsindy.com and I never saw you come back. I surely hope we're not the site you're referring to, I think the people there are nothing but wonderful. You surely must be talking about another site, I hope!

No, it wasnt WLSIndy,,,I need to go back there. I need all the support I can get, I never get to a support group meeting,,too far to drive alone at night. Thats why I soend a lot of time here. I am of the same mindset. Im not gonna forbid myself a cookie now and then, or a coke,,but I refuse to make a habit of it, and am always right back to plan. Life is short, especially at my age! LOL But at least I know I extended it with this surgery! Blessings Betsy

Well, I'll admit I haven't come around in quite some time, but I am surprised to hear about the big ban. I liked Donna a lot, and am curious about this other site. If someone would like to PM me the sordid story I'm all ears RNY 09/15/05 280/145/140
