Hey there!! How is eveyone doing??? Mostly I'm good. I've put on a few pounds...and not thrilled about that but, don't want to sweat it yet. But it stops here...... Anyway, following my check up with my PCP, my blood test results indicated slight Anemia. I'm supposed to take more iron, but remember something about not being able to take calcium and iron at the same time.....But I can't remember if that was it and if so why... Does any one know???

This is what I found on the Brown University page: Iron You may learn from having your blood tested by a medical provider that your iron levels are low. It is often recommended that you take iron supplements for awhile. Absorption of this iron will be increased if you take the iron along with an acidic food or juice (e.g., orange juice, tomato sauce, strawberries). Taking iron without food may upset the stomach. Don't take a calcium supplement at the same time, since calcium can interfere with the body's ability to absorb iron. ** Just don't take the two together..space them apart Paula

I recently had reconstructive surgery and went thru hell and am very anemic at this time. So I was told to take an iron supplement. I was only taking 65 mg. a day and just found out I need to take that 3 times a day. Anyway, I was also told taking Vitamin C helps with the absorption of the iron. I take the Iron and I make sure that I have 2 to 3 hours before I take my Calcium. Good luck and best wishes.
