Hello, its Monday!
We are expecting a BIG snowstorm here tonight, so Ive checked on my stock of SF hot chocolate and protein...got chili made in the fridge! So,. let it snow let it snow let it snow!! thats one good thing about being retired,,I dont have to go out in it for any reason if I dont want to!
Son in law called at 7 this morning,,,groan,,,his car wouldn't start, so had to go give his a jump from mine. Good thing he only lives a mile away.
Im doin strictly protein for a day or two. My 14th little grandbaby had her first birthday party Satuurday, and Mamaw indulged in the cake. So,,Im detoxing! I really didnt do too bad, but still wanna play it safe. Dont want a gain!
So, whats going on in everyones lives now that we are almost a year and a half out from surgery? Anyone at goal? Im not, still got about 25 to go to my personal goal. Anyone stuck? Whats everyone planning for Valentines day? Cmon, lets keep this board going!!
For valentines day, my hubby is super overly romantic, if there is such a thing, so I have no clue what his plans are. One year it was decorating the bedroom in red crepe paper and red lights,,,and buying me a slnky nightgown (that was before my body resembled a slinky,,like it does now with all the wrinkles! LOL) Anyway, Im kinda anxious to see what this year holds,,,
Blessings,
Betsy
Hi Betsy, wow your husband is romantic!! Mine is too, just not creative!! This morning he said to me 'you know what tomorrow is don't you' and I said ah, a snow day? And he said 'no it's v-tines day'. And I said well actually that's Wednesday, and he said oh, well we'll celebrate all week!! I thought that was a good recovery.
It's supposed to snow here too, but I am not prepared yet. I have to run to the store for dog and cat food!! I HATE THE SNOW. Brrr. I want spring.
You beat me on the grandkids -- I thought I was the one with the most at 11, but you have 14!! That's great,. I think we're done though. Youngest just turned 5 and oldest is 18.
Well I will talk to you later Betsy, enjoy the day. (I love being retired too!!)

Afternoon betsy and donna, Our snow isn't supposed to be here until Tuesday night. That gives me time to get to the market tonight. Unfortunately I have to work so I will be driving in it. By my house we should be getting 6-12" Boston is scheduled for 6". That will be a mess. Usually the first storm of the year is a mess, not sure if due to the fact that it is February people will just have a snow day.
I don't know if anyone here is in upstate NY where they have all the snow,
Valentines day I am taking my oldest and two nephew's to a Celtics game. My DH is just going to have to celebrate later in the week. He to can be very romantic, we just live in a realistic world of celebrating when we can actually fit it in and enjoy... he says we don't need a "day" to remind us of our love, we should celebrate all year long.

hello ladies. we're supposed to get a storm too starting tomorrow. i say let it snow! i live in upstate ny but we don't have nearly what oswego has, now that's snow.
valentines day - my husband doesn't do valentines day. he doesn't do my birthday, he barely does christmas. i think it's time to trade him in - lol.
i'm at goal and trying to maintain. i met with a nutritionist last week and am going to see her again in a couple of weeks. i really need a plan - i've always been really good at gaining weight and pretty good at losing it, but i totally suck at maintaining.

Well, it's 56 degrees here this morning and supposed to be foggy all morning then get to 65 degrees, but rainy..that's OK with me. If it snows here, EVERYTHING shuts down...and that's ANY amount of snow...we don't have snowplows here. So if it snowed, it would definitely be a holiday!
We will be having babies for Valentine's Day...my 2 grandsons (age 2-1/2 and 7 months) and a little 3-week angel that belongs to one of the guys who works for me...they have no family within 400 miles and they've adopted me and vice versa, as a grandparent.
Walt and I are celebrating Valentine's Day on March 2nd, by going to a House of Blues concert by Taylor Hicks.
Thankfully, I am at my goal and 20 lbs below my surgeon's goal. So now I work hard to stay here!
Hope y'all have a great day!
Pam
