September Folks Survery
1. What type surgery did you have, and why did you choose that kind?
Lap RNY, I had over 100 lbs to lose, and didnt like the idea of a port in my chest, lapband just wasnt an option for me. I have had no complications. Neither surgery is something you are going to reverse anyways, and if you have to, dut to cancer, or something, the RNY CAN be reversed...
2. What is the greatest change in your life since surgery?
I can get around easier, my kids are not embarrassed for me to be around them, I am no longer the " FAT MOM", they now think I am the " YOUNGER AUNT" LOL!!!!!! I don't have a sister....
3. What was the hardest adjustment since surgery?
Trying to figure out, who is in the mirror, and in the pictures, and if one day I am going to wake up, and be the way I was again......

CHurch... people trying to figure out if I am the same person...

Hope I'm not too late to reply...
1. What type surgery did you have, and why did you choose that kind? RNY and I also had that type because my insurance company wouldn't cover the lapband. I'm glad now though.
2. What is the greatest change in your life since surgery?
My health is great and I feel really good about myself...plus I am so active. I can hike up mountains and climb trees with my 13 year old son. Incredible to know I can keep up with a 13 year old boy.
3. What was the hardest adjustment since surgery? The excess skin and seeing a new man in my life is very difficult...I am quite embarrassed by it, but I still feel like a million bucks at least with my clothes ON. I need to work on this area a lot for my self-esteem. I also don't see myself thin...even though if I didn't have my excess skin I would probably only weight 115 or less.
4. How has your family and friends adjusted to the change in you?
Extremely happy and adjusted.
5. How much weight have you lost? More or Less than you expected by this point.
I've lost 168 pounds, down to 130...I lost more than I expected to lose and still working on five more. If I do great, if I stay here great too. I just want to maintain - feeling good in an extra-small and size four jeans.
6. Are you pleased with your surgery results? Would you do it again?
Yes, yes, yes... I was so scared that I canceled three times. Finally I did it. And I would do it again in a heartbeat...that's my
heartbeat beating strong and healthy because of it. BP 108/70
Have a wonderful week ahead.
