. Do you prefer Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Egg nog at the holidays w/ a bit of alcohol in it, but since surgery, haven't had it...Hot chocolate, sugar and fat free all winter long. 2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? wraps them. I just did them. Anna gets one color santa paper and timmy gets another color santa paper...no tags and faking signatures involved...it's great! 3. Colored or White lights on your tree/house? white lights...but, in reality, I love the colored ones.. 4. Do you hang mistletoe? no...I kiss everyone all year long! 5. When do you put your decorations up? A week or so after Thanksgiving. we keep them up until 3 king's day in Jan, so, I don't want to get tired of them. I'm loving the tree this year, though...the kids put on the decorations this year and did a great job. They're growing way too fast. 6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)? pierogi...Polish dumplings with sauerkraut inside...potato ones too... 7. What was your favorite Holiday memory as a child? My sibilings were about 15-20 years older than me, so, they'd put out the Santa gifts after I was asleep, but, they couldn't wait for the morning, so, they'd wake me up in the middle of the night and say, "paula, santa was here, come down and see"..so, sleepily, I'd go down, open up all my stuff, pick something to take to bed (usually a new dolly) and first thing in the morning start playing...(I think my parents allowed this cause my dad was drunk and wanted to sleep late) Another time, they woke me up and said "paula, santa IS downstairs, come see him. I was beyond myself. Sleepy eyed, I spotted him...I climbed up on his lap for a minute, but he told me he had a lot of work to do to get all the toys to the kids. They took a poloroid shot of me with him and it was great...the poloroid was proof the next morning that I wasn't dreaming! 8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? I was a snoop! I would go up to the attic and find all the wrapped gifts. Probably kids at school, too. I was older, though. I'd unwrap all the stuff and then retape it. So, come Christmas, I knew what each gift was. To this day, I hate surprises! 9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? Our family exchanges our gifts on Christmas Eve...It's a Polish tradition...and a family one. Santa gifts are opened on Christmas Morning. 10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree? Toys...lots of Santas, birds, wooden ornaments, ones I've gotten on vacation, yearly ones to look back on. ones the kids have made so far...white lights, start on top 11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? Both.. but love it when it starts and get all excited. Hate to shovel it or drive in it. But, it doesn't slow me down. I've lived in New England all my life! 12. Can you ice skate? Haven't ice skated since high school....Not that I'm thinner, I'd love to take the kids to URI and skate at the rink. 13. Do you remember your favorite gift? Yes...too many to list. They are all wonderful. Both my first husband and now Bob always seem to get me what I ask for and both had/have wonderful taste. 14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you? That my savior, Jesus Christ was born to save me of my sins. The greatest gift of all...And, to sit and reflect on what a wonderful husband and children and family I have. 15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? hmmmmmm...hard one... 16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? gifts.... 17. What tops your tree? star...usually was an angel up until two years ago. Next year, I'm going back to the angel. I also have a blessed mary holding Jesus that I may bring out again, too. 18. Which do you prefer giving or receiving? definately giving... 19. What is your favorite Christmas Song? O Holy Night and Silent Night...Christian....It's the Most Wonderful Time Of The Year...secular 20. Candy Canes -yuck or yummy? YUMMY 21. Favorite Christmas movie? Christmas Vacation w/ Chevy Chase...hysterical...

Hi Paula, okay I give up -- so who was the Santa!! It sounds like your sibs took really good care of you. That's nice. I love the Chevy Chase movie too!! It's a hoot. The lights, the neighbors (I didn't even know at first that that was Elayne!!), the squirrel in the tree, it's just a really good movie. Christmas is much more special and fun with little ones Paula, enjoy it, as I know you do. When we go home and see all the grandkids it just makes it special. When it's just the two of us -- well, boring!! My husband would feel so bad if he saw that I said that, but it's true!! He always says 'we have fun by ourselves'. Oh well, sob sob. But you have fun with your little ones Paula, and don't feel sorry for me!!! (ha ha -- this is what I always tease my daughters with -- they just laugh at me and tell me I had my season). much love donna

It was so much fun. I dreamed of being a professional ice skater and love watching it on TV I think If i had the training I could have been a profeesional. I just loved that. Hi Everyone, Oh I'll tell you something funny. There was a person around here who got theirselves a real tree from the forest to put up for Christmas. They took it home and after TWO DAYS, they discovered a possum had been living in it! Can you imagine?!! That is just so creepy to me. LOL Now I don't know if they had it decorated yet or not but still...I would have died. Getting to know you - Christmas style! 1. Do you prefer Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? EGG NOG!! 2. I had a Baby Tender Love. She was my favorite baby for years. I'd put her in a bath and wash her hair and my Mom loved that her hair always came back all nice and fluffly and shiny and beautiful. I had my own little crib for her, too. Oh, memories...I see some of the stuff on ebay, from time to time. I look up old games I had as a kid and they're there! I'm SO tempted to buy them, but my daughter (kids in the techno age) would poo poo them, for sure! My kids hate our "old" Christmas shows saying they're "old fashioned" and weird. Except for the Grinch and Charlie Brown. No pixar animation...They should make them over doing the Pixar stuff. Happy Christmas paula
