Grand Canyon

Hi all, You might remember some weeks ago, I had an issue with my Grand Canyon hiking vacation because I listed the surgery on my medical information sheet and they were concerned that I would not be fit enough to do the hiking trip. Well I did the trip and just got back. It was amazing. I hiked to the bottom of the grand canyon and back in 2 days...a round trip of 18 miles a lot of which was straight up and straight down. I never could have done this a year ago! The other 4 days of the trip included hiking but nothing that extreeme. When the tour was over the tour operator I'd had the issue with gave me a hug and said, "thank you for educating me." It was a great trip and a personal accomplishment.

YAHOOOOO!!! Congratulations on a great accomplishment!! I am so proud of you the you went and did IT despite all the pre trip contraversy. Congratulations on your trip. I can imaging how hard it was for you to go. what an accomplishment that was. How hard was the hiking? At any time did you feel that it was too much? It is amazing to me when I hear about all the personal goals everyone is now meeting. donna
