Excedrin pm
Hi everyone, I know this is on our list of 'don't take' but has anyone ever taken any, in small doses, since surgery? I have so much trouble sleeping at night with my knee pain and I take vicodin, but I sort of want to stop taking them. I know I'm pretty anal about what to take, but ....
thanks for your help
love

Hey Donna,
I know what you mean about tylenol not cutting it. I don't take ibuprophen (I think thats why we can't take Excederin) myself but my mom who had the same WLS takes it all the time. Her surgeon never even told her she couldn't take it. She hasn't had any problems.
I would think if it was just once in a while it would be okay.
Good luck hope you feel better quick!
Are you supposed to be in this much pain this long after your surgery? should you call your doctor?
A couple of times, I've taken 1/2 dose of Nyquil, since I knew it would help me sleep. Now I am so sensitive to sugar that I took the dose and immediately lay down so I wouldn't get so nauseous and dizzy that I do with sugar. But it did help me sleep.
I'm sorry you are having so much trouble...I'll be thinking of you.
