I just had to post myself a big old pat on the back. One of the guys here had to sell cookie dough for his kids fundraiser.... well being the nice person that I am I bought a bucket. I had completely forgotten about it. Yesterday, it just so happens that it is that time of the month and when I left work I was starved. I had planned on having a liter of ice tea to drink hoping that I wouldn't pig out the minute I got home. As I was leaving my buddy hands me the bucket of cookie dough and I almost died. Now what.... me and this dough in the car together for 1+ hour..... not a good thing. I was really stupidly kind of floored, I knew that I could eat the whole thing and would given the chance. I keep thinking about this dough and the ride... when I got to the car I kind of grinned a sad little smile.... opened the trunk and dumped it in. It worked I never touched the stuff... I was so happy I could just Only you guys would understand this.... in the past I would convinced myself to have a few bite and ended up downing the whole thing, throwing away the container so that nobody would know..... this time I even had my youngest take it out of the car and throw it in the freezer. I haven't even seen the stuff since. donna

So proud of you!!!! that is too funny. You are so right. Only we would understand. How many times have I bought junk (pre surgery)- eaten either all or most of it and then making sure I threw away any traces of it. Of yes. Would stuff myself silly before supper and then have to pretend to be hungry. LOL. Only we can understand. Koukla

Hi donna, yup, totally can understand. I've gotten to where, since I do like to support fundraisers, I just buy the stuff and then give it back to them to sell to someone else!! Sometimes I just am afraid to tempt myself. I don't' think I'm strong I have not had any sugar since my surgery, and that was always a big problem for me, so it's lilke I don't want to open the flood gates. If I could use common sense control I wouldnt have gotten myself in this situation. Good job cutie!! love donna

Donna, Good for you, girl! I would have plunked it in the trunk, too...just to be safe! I'd been craving (not craving, but CRAVING) black licorice for three weeks. Well, I broke down and bought a small bag (the kind that they hang up little packs) and I ATE THE WHOLE BAG! But, not to worry, it got the craving out of me and it's out of my system. Instead of thinking about it for so many weeks, I just did it and now it's over. Get on with my life! I didn't dump, either, suprisingly! Paula
