1 yr out...need some scolding!
I need words of advise, encouragement, and even scolding. I'm one year out (09/26/05) and have gone from 290lbs to 165lbs, and back up to 175lbs. I've been eating things I shouldn't and today I am paying the price (horrible, horrible, terrible gas that won't come out).
I know I'm able to eat quite a bit. I've even eaten a Whopper Jr. combo w/fries and drink. I don't eat all the fries nor the drink...and pick off alot of the bread...but I'm hurting afterwards and know I shouldn't be eating that stuff...much less drinking while eating. I need some help y'all! Give it to me...I can take it!
Thx,
Mayra
STOP IT!!! (How was that?) You know what you need to do. I'm not one of the carbaphobs, I eat carbs everyday. I just limit myself to about 60 net carbs, but most importantly my carbs come from whole grains, fruits and veggies. As a matter of fact since I upped my good carbs a couple of weeks ago, I've lost 6 lbs. That's more than I lost all of last month.
I saw your pics on your profile - WOW - you look amazing. Losing weight is hard, but now that we're all so close to goal the critical part (at least for me) is maintaining. My goal is 150-155 BUT really my goal is to NEVER WEIGH MORE THAN I DO TODAY. Gaining weight would scare the **** out of me - we'ver all been through too much to gain. So once again STOP IT!

If I yell at you then I need to yell at myself so STOP!!!! ok now I am going to give you the advice that my doctor gave me the other day. First off is CHIPS are bad bad bad, he said I am a doctor and I don't even eat chips, so STOP eating them. Then he told me that "I" needed to remember that everything that goes into my mouth needs to be healthy you need to tell yourself and your friends that "YOU"have become a HEALTH NUT" and that before you eat it ask yourself if this is healthy if it is not then throw it away, don't do it to yourself!! I am trying really really hard to follow this advice that he is giving me but its hard to do, we just have to make the decision to do it, oh and by the way did I tell you I gained 10 lbs also? I was 172 now I am at 180 err that makes me mad but I am being honest with you and myself.
Also I was told that when we had this surgery a year ago this is a statement we must beleive in and follow:
At the beginning 90% was surgery and 10% US
AT 3 months out it was 80% surgery and 20% US
at 6 months out it was 60% surgery and 40% US
At 1 year out its 90% US and 10% SURGERY!!! and when I say "US" it's not UNITED STATES!!! LOL
WE HAVE TO DO IT OURSELF THE HONEYMOON IS OVER!!!
