I almost forgot !

Today is Sept. 28th.....Today is my surgiversary A year ago today I started on this journey. Not knowing what I was getting myself into, just hoping that I would be better off than I was at the time. Little did I know that I had just made the best decision of my life.... Yes, I did have a few bumps in the road but that made me more grateful for what I have been given. I have not regretted my decision at all. I have more energy than I had before this surgery. I can sit in chairs with arms, tie my shoes, chase my grandson all over the place. I want to thank everyone on this forum. You have made this year very informative and given me support . If I hadn't found you guys I would probably be a basket case with all the questions and "STALLS" And worries about every thing that we have been thru this year....Thanks Guys.. Sandy

Hi Sandy, congratulations and happy birthday!! Or surgery birthday anyway!! Hasn't this been an awesome year?? I just look back and can't believe it. You know I think that is why I'm so stressed about my knee surgery (I hate to keep talking about it, but what can I say!!), is that I just worry that I have spent this year getting active and now it migh be a step backwards, although I have heard from you and others that the people you know who have had it has been real successful (wow, what a sentence -- and to think I was an English major!!) Anyway, I am proud of you Sandy, you have done so great. And I agree with you so much, withouth the support of this board (and I will say probably mostly this board, although I look at others) I would be lost. It is somehow comforting to know that all the things I go through, you all out there go through the same, or will!! Have a fun day - go shopping and buy yourself something pretty!! love donna

Sandy, We had the same surgery date! Congrats on all of your success! We've both come SO far (we all have, actually) in just 365 days....let's keep it up! Paula
