ok I have to tell you about my support meeting the other night. A statement was made that made me realize hello you need to wake up!! "beginning 90%is the surgery 10% you" "3 months out 80% the surgery 20% you" "6 months out 60% the surgery and 40% you" "1 year out 80% YOU and 20% surgery" THIS IS SO TRUE! I don't know why this makes sense to me and I need to wake up and realize this "which I am now" this is the new thing I keep telling myself and it has been working for me since Friday. ITs not an easy fix to have this surgery we have to work at it everyday and unfortuately the rest of our lives!! So if we gain this weight back its our own fault. I have to just keep telling myself the honeymoon is over and its all up to ME now not the surgery. I hope everyone doesn't have the struggles like I have been having lately but I plan to wake up and smell the coffee we need a coffee icon!! lol I want to thank everyone who posted to my other comment that I had made it really really helped and I plan to go to the support meetings every month now so I can stay on track and not lose sight of what is important and a reality!! HUGGSSSS JUST SAY TO OVEREATING!!!

Michelle. Thanks for sharing this. It feels so true to me too, Everything seems much more difficult than just 3 or 6 months ago. Yes, I guess an increased effort on our part is needed : More not less. Thanks so much for sharing. Hugs to you, jacqueline

Hi Michelle, yup, I think this is so true. It was so so easy in the beginning, weight was dropping off no matter what I did or didn't do. Now it is the same weight, day after day after day!! I guess this is the final weight for me. I wanted to lose a little more, but I don't know. I am not exercising right now, I am sort of stressing about this silly knee replacement business (next Monday!!) and just haven't been doing any. I know for me that is the secret. My doc told me I had to exercise at least 5 days a week. I think that is so important. Well thanks for this information. I don't know if it's going to help me or not because I already knew that, but I am going to try. love donna

I kinda figured everyone might of already knew this but I Thought it might need to be reinterated at this time, cuz Lord knows I needed a slap in the face to make me realize this fact again! Good luck on the knee replacement I know of women who had it done and can walk 5 miles a day now because she did it before the surgery.

I sometimes think that surgery was a reset button....I just got my body reset and this is a second chance to take care of it better than before (just gotta keep in mind it was the ONLY reset button and I'm lucky to get this second chance)...I like the 80/20 perpective too, thanks for sharing it!
