Boy have I missed a Lot- & I received a present from an elf
Well, I am finally feeling better. Two trips to the ER and 11 pounds later. It was a hell of a way to spend my surgi-versary. I did have my one year check up today. I now weigh 134 pounds becasue of allthe weight I lost last week. My doctor told me that I should not lose ANY more weight and if I don't put some back on to let them know. If you remember a couple of months ago I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy, and never really found out what they found. Well, I guess everything is ok, and he said that my pouch was not stretched at all which was good. I guess mostly they were concerned with my weight. I am 5'10 and 134 pounds is a bit skinny even for my taste.
I didn't put anything into my profile when I signed up for the elves. My elf got me exactly the right thing. I received a beautiful cermaic bowl with a heart on it that matches my kitchen exactly and I received a little wicker basket, which I collect. Thank you very much to my elf.
This year has been a lot of hard work for me, but I want to take a few minutes to thank the people who have helped me get through this. First of all my husband who has never been the most talkative or supportive person. He has taken hours and hours off work to be there when I was sick or in the hospital. He has had to deal with all my insecurities on a daily basis- and he does it for me.
I want to thank my kids who were picked on for years because I was fat. They are always the first to brag about how good I look and the first to give me complements.
My 10 year old daughter has been a big motivator with my exercise, she walks with me more than anyone.
I want to thank the wonderful people at Adirondack Health Center. Especially Dr. Hill, they have always been more than happy to check me out when I am sick- and never once made me feel like it was all in my head and I was putting them out. Without Dr. Hill I can just imagine what kind of life I would be living today.
And last but not least I want to thank all of my September friends for all the help and advise that you have given me in the last year. It has been so great having someone to talk to that has been going through the same things that I have.
Thanks for listening to me ramble,
Christine
