1 year re-birthday tomorrow!!!
Cannot really believe it, but twelve months have just flown by. Felt blessed this morning to wake up and finally see a number -- 136 -- on the scale that meant something to me. It meant I am officially within "NORMAL" BMI range. Unbelieveable. Read my profile for more. Thank you to all for your support.
Keep exercising and living life to the fullest. Our journey has just begun, my friends!

Amy, i did read your profile! First let me say that your parents are truly very lucky to have such a daughter as you, and of course you are equally lucky. You must be a very special family.
Now, oh my gosh - congratultions to you and how awesome you are doing!! I am so proud of you. I had to laugh at the beginning when you were talking about, well how the world sort of gives a pass to thinness!! Of course I have noticed that myself. That was funny.
Also that future letter was a wonderful idea. I didn't' hear about that. That must have been fun to get.
Take care and please come back and post some more!!
love
donna
thanks for your kind words, donna. the "re-birthday" is a good time to reflect on the constants that have been in your life, pre and post op. the love of your family is a constant. their love has not changed. that means a lot to me, because the world can be so hostile and cruel to fat people.
best always,
amy
Amy and Tonya happy rebirthday! I love the letter you wrote last year, I wish I had known about something like that. I do have a list I made the day before my surgery of things I hoped to be able to do "some day" and in just one year I can do ALL of them! It is nice to have something to look back at to remember how I felt then because honestly I am forgetting already what that life was like to an extent. Happy birthday, enjoy it!!
