My One Year Rebirthday Gift,
Well, Thursday will mark one year since my surgery, and I wanted to celebrate and do something great. So, I made an appointment with a vein clinic, to have my vericose veins checked out. I have had big blue ugly ropey veins in my thighs and calves since I was in my twenties....Well,,no more! As of yesterday, I had the laser surgery and the injections and they already look so much better!! Virtually painless, although some bruising,,and my insurance paid a hundred percent!!
Now I will be able to wear strappy shoes, no more swollen ankle on the left leg, due to bad veins there, no more leg ulcers, or redness. I am so excited and thrilled. No more restless legs or achy tired feelings in my legs at night.
I have to wear the compression hose for 6 weeks, but much to my surprise they are very pretty and sheer looking! Not like the old ace bandage looking things my grandmother used to wear. I guess for a hundred dollars they ought to be pretty eh??
Its been a year, and Im 120 pounds down, from a size 26-28 tight to a 14-16. I feel wonderful and look like a different person.
Life is great, and getting better everyday!
