Paula - you are well known in Virginia

So I am at my support meeting yesterday talking with my friend Kathy who had surgery in May '05, and we were talking about what boards we looked at most and she said she looked at her surgery month board because everyone was always going through the same thing at the about the same time. I agreed and said that one of our discussions now was on nighttime eating and she said 'oh yeah, someone from my board was reading your board and saw that and we all thought that that person named Paula really had a good response and made reference to it on our board.' Ha ha - so there you go Paula, you're a legion in your own time (pardon me if I sound like Carly Simon!!), So what do you think of that little girl!! love donna

donna Mae, Got your response to my other message and YES, Thank GOD, I do have a support group over here. A lot of American are stationed where I am and a lot of Military spouses have had the surgery. Our support group meets monthly but I have lots of contact with a few women regularly and Of Course, this support group on line has been so invaluable!! And having the Sept surgery helps me with knowing I am not going through crazy things alone....we all experienced the hair loss at about the same time, the plateaus that drove us all insane, etc.. So Yes, you have been quite a bit of support as well as encouragement. Thanks. PS, 6 more days till exactly one year. Cannot believe it!! We made it and did it good girl.. Love Jacqueline

I'm blushing! I guess I'm having my fifteen minutes of fame!! LOL I'm glad to be of help on any board and to anyone that needs it. I'm not college educated, but read a lot and always wanted to be a doctor. I don't like to come off as a know it all, but to be as much help as possible, with thoughts from things I read and learn along the way. My surgeon teaches me A LOT of things. I put a huge amount of stock in his opinion, as he's the most knowledgable. Hope you're having a good Sunday. Me, I'm tired from soccer, swimming at the Y with the kids, and driving over an hour each way at 5pm on a whim when I said "Let's go visit Grandma (my mom in nursing home) and my sister and go to Trader Joe's!
