what is this horrible pain????

morning (notice I didn't say "good" morning) - I haven't slept much - the pain has now moved to my lower back - it feels like a major gas pain - still feeling as tho I am swallowing razor blades when I try and drink and there is no way I can even THINK about food - I have a call into my surgeon and hopefully he will call me back this morning - I'm guessing that I will be leaving work and spending the day in the ER with him I tried milk last night - I tried an ice pop - I tried warm tea ... nothing worked and nothing helped...I was tired so I went to bed - I was awake every 15 minutes with stabbing pain...I am burping and have some gas (altho I'm guessing that's from having a completely empty stomach??) This pain is worse than being in labor and I did that twice! I'll let you know what happens with the doctor thanx to everyone for your support! Linda

Hey Linda, I know many have suggested an ulcer but my mom had gall bladder pain that felt like bad gas pain like what you are describing, even into her back. She had to go to the Dr. many times because they would never be able to find anything wrong with her, til she ended up in the ER and had it removed. Good luck I hope they figure it out!
