Hmm, could this be our problem!!
I saw this article in a recent WLS newsletter, and I'm not sure all or any of you happened to see it as well. It makes a lot of sense, and could be my problem with eating at night. I know during the day I don't eat enough! I am going to start doing better!!
Hope you all are doing okay - look at us, a year out!! Yeaaaa. By the way, I use this website ishophere.biz all the time and love it!! They give really good personalized service and of course are very familiar and experienced with wls patients. And I checked with them before putting in this article and Dr. L. was so very accommodating to me in regards to that.

One of the things that I have discovered and which I published in the Journal of the American Society for Bariatric Physicians, is that when you skip meals or do not get enough protein in a meal, that 8 to 12 hours later, you will likely have cravings.
This means for those who skip Breakfast at 8 AM, you will likely have cravings between 2 or 3 PM to 7 or 8 PM. If you skip Lunch, those cravings will hit you starting at about 7 or 8 PM and last until Bedtime. And, guess what happens if you skip both breakfast and lunch?? You will likely have cravings from say 3 PM until Bedtime.
This is fairly easy to prove. Take a survey of those who skip meals, you should find this is true in over 80% of people. The other thing to do if you are a breakfast and/or lunch skipper, is not skip the meal and make sure you get enough protein for the meal (usually 25 grams for women and 35 grams for men per meal if 3 meals per day), and you should find the cravings are almost totally gone or totally gone in the respective time period.
This is one of the reasons we emphasize protein in our Diet recommendations.
This is so important and fundamental, that I will talk more about this in the next couple of weekly emails.

Hi Jacqueline, yeah I don't know for sure if this is my problem, but I am going to try to space out my food more. Like now, it's still early here, and all I've had is a protein drink (its almost 11:00 a.m.), so I need to start eating something.
You know what, I love you Jacqueline, you always make me feel so good!! Thank you. We are all in this together, and I have to tell you that I've been to many other forums on OH and I get the best support, love and encouragement from this one. And I love everyone here!!
That was funny what you said about three hours left to eat and not really hungry. That is so me. I look at the clock and think I better hurry up and eat something cause I'm not going to be able to in an hour!! What is up with that??
Have a good night's sleep little girl!!
