Winter coat !!!!

The winter coat I bought last year for nashville.I went in Feb It was a (Large) so tight on me. I just tried that sucker on. It is huge on me. I am in shock. I thought I had a winter coat !!!!! I swear girls. I am looking really thin. Anyone who has not tried their winter coat on. Give it a try....... Ohio is chilly Barb

Yep, It's time for me to get a new coat. I can now put on not only a sweater but sweat shirt under my coat. I've had it quite a few years now . Before surgery I didn't like wearing it because it was too bulky when I was driving. Now it's too big ! Oh well , another reason to go shopping.... Sandy

Barb, I swear, I know exactly what you mean. My spring, fall and winter stuff is all packed up to go to our Thrift Shop. Nothing fit. I am now the proud wearer of a size medium or 8. So New coat, here I come!! J

Hi Barb, I have a beautiful winter coat, Anne Klein, two layers (you know has a lining that comes out) and just really stylish. The only thing - size 22/24. I really don't mind passing on to other wls people but I know they won't wear it long either. We have something in the D.C. area that you can donate coats to homeless. I might do that. I'm sure some homeless lady will really enjoy this coat and keep nice and warm and stylish for this winter. love donna

My daughter already called bids on it. I wish I had known this when I bought the coat. I never dreamed a size large would be like that on me. I will wear it until I can get a coat on sale. Im not paying a arm and leg for a new coat. My daughter really has been liking my handy downs. My oldest is expecting. I know she will need some of my larger clothes after she gives birth. Oh geez I never even thought about a winter coat...I don't think I even want to try on my coat from last yr. It is a 30/32 Maybe I can find a thrift shop by the time it snows and find one, thanx for the reminder...lol Shel

I'm with you SHELLY!!!! Mine is like a 28 to 32 TOO!!!! I can get into medium & large tops... got into a size 12 dress today!!(I have a small wait big hips.. Can't think what size coat I would wear... We'll see....

I'm down to an 18/20 in tops and 20/22 in jeans but as far as coats I don't even have a clue what size I would be. I'll just have to try them on and see, maybe the others who were where we are can recomend sizes.... Yep we shall see Shel

My last year's coat was a 26/28. My daughter gave me her leather coat that had gotten too big for her. It is a large. I tried it on today and it will fit nicely for winter. I could not even get it on last year when she gave it to me. I am thrilled. Have a wonderful weekend and Labor Day everyone. Carmen

Hi All, It was SO cold and blustry in San Francisco, that we all had to buy fleece jackets. I tried on an XL and Bob said, "It's WAY TOO BIG"... I had a huge grin on my face as I tried on the L and it fit! It's been YEARS since I've gotten into a L of anything. It's cold here, but, I sent home a box via UPS with all of our purchases and what nots and it's not scheduled to be delivered here until Wed. For now, I'm just wearing long sleeves! A Large, who would have thunk??? I also was trying on suede and leather jackets on there and they looked so tiny, but, they fit! I didn't buy one, gonna wait for a bit so I can have it a while. paula
