Y'all are sooooo sweet!!!
Can I tell you just how sweet it was to log in this morning and see a group of you had posted good lucks to me! That means so much!!!
Just to let you know, my surgery went great. Of course, I didn't expect anything less since my hero, Dr. DeWitt was performing it! I don't know how long it took, I was totally relaxed before the surgery, so the anesthesia kicked in quickly. During his "exploring" he found two hyrnias (sp?) that he fixed and some scar tissue that could have caused significant problems later on....this was my 5th abdominal surgery (2 c-sections, 1 umbilical hyrnia repair, gastric bypass and gallbladder) so there was bound to be scar tissue, but this was wrapped around my bowel and concerned him.
I ended up staying in the hospital overnight because I was in pain and unable to shake the anesthesia.
But I am home now and actually at work for an hour or so.
I will check in tomorrow!!
Talk to you all soon!!!

Please EM - take it easy. I know you're a tough girl, but back to work already!!! Even for a few hours, are you sure your doc said you could?? I had my gallbladder out some years ago and it wasn't done lap and I think I was out of work for six weeks!! It was a killer for me.
Glad you're back!!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery but DO take it easy. Working too quick might cause you a set back. Surgery is trauma to your body. Take care of you!! Jacqueline
