I've found that lately I've been lax on my chewing and eating slowly. And twice this week alone it bit me in the butt. Tonight as I was having my protein I kept reminding myself to chew, chew, and chew. so that was fine. I finished my protein and started my salad and put a tomato in my mouth and FORGOT TO CHEW. The pain - the PAIN the foamies.... Nothing would come up but the foamies. I jumped up and started walking to get it to move. It did help a little but not that much. When will I learn? I'm glad it happens. Hopefully this way I'll learn and NOT FORGET!!!!!!!!! I'm very good at following the rules of what to eat - I just forget the rules about HOW TO EAT SLOWLY AND CHEWING. And that's just as important. Well, just thought I'd share. Koukla

Koukla, I know exactly what you mean. I have that - and eating too fast sometimes - give me a problem. I have never had the foamies. That would have been fun to have last week with my 11 grandkids, I'm sure I would have been the center of attention. I have a confession and I hope I don't get slammed, but oh well here it goes!! I just wonder if anyone else has done this. But sometimes when I eat and don't chew and it is stuck and I am feeling awful -- I stick my finger down my throat! Is that awful? Am I bulemic?? Am I a baby??? I don't know, but I know that probably isn't good for me, but it does come up!! love donna

Hi donna, I wi****hought of that last night. I most certainly would have done that. Then it would have gotten rid of the problem and I would have felt better sooner. I don't think that makes you bulemic. It just makes you smart for thinking how to get rid of the pain. Hopefully next time I forget to chew I'll remember that. Have a great day. Koukla

Oh boy can I relate!! I eat too fast too, and pay for it dearly. Yes, Donna, I do that too. Its better than suffering for the next few hours with the pain, and the relief is instant. No, its not bulimic, we dont do it to lose weight, we do it to alleviate pain and suffering!! It usually happens to me at restaurants, because I get busy talking to whomever I am with and eat too fast or too much. And it doesnt happen often. I just had a bout with the flu, and did a lot of "being sick" stuff..kept wondering if it would hurt anything, and where was it all coming from when I have such a tiny pouch. I had the foamies a lot the first few months after surgery, and I find if I dont eat much during the day, or go several hours without food, thats when I get em the worst, So, I try to keep something in there!! Its good to know ther are others going through the same things. Thanks for your post!!

A couple of quick swallows of water will get whatever is stuck to come back up as well. I know we arent suppose to drink when we eat but the water will either pu**** through or cause you to throw up. Tammy O
