11 months today & ????
Congratulations you look great! I have days when I can eat more than others. Sunday I ate 2 oz filet mignon, 1/4 cup baked beans, 1 salt potato and I really could have eaten more. Then yesterday for lunch I had 1/4 cup of egg salad and so so full I almost ... Strange, but it seems like it's normal.

I like the other post find I eat different amounts are different times in my cycle. I go a few weeks of not really being able to eat to much, then get starved and have to watch everything. At the time I could eat a lot I might be able to put away what you had, but I would be full for a while.
I do need to give up the softer foods and move into more dense protein. It is hard some of it just sits like a rock.
a typical day
Breakfast/ am snack : not all eaten together
large ice decafee 2 spenda's from DD
protein bar
low-fat yogurt
Lunch is my biggest meal-
3 slices of deli meat- either roast beef/tureky
2 slices of cheese- usually sharp provolone
small (1 cup) salad with lowfat dressing
fruit of some kind- right now I am into cherries about 1 cup
snack for ride home
protein bar
some times fruit
dinner-
a few ounces of meat- usually chicken
potatoes- up to 1/4 cup depends on if mashed or just boiled
vegetable-
salad- usually small bowl
night snack
some times am struggling with this big time.
It sounds like an ok amount to me. I know for me it varies a lot, sometimes even with the same food. Like a quesadilla sometimes I can eat a whole one and other times I'm lucky to finish half, it just depends on my tummy that day. At 11 months out I am supposed to be at 7oz per meal and I don't measure but I think I stay really close to that, they told me to trust my tummy still at this point to let me know when it's enough.
Interesting hearing what some of you said about the water. I know different hospitals have different rules but with our program we are told no fluids for 30 minutes before a meal, none during meal or until 30 minutes after. So basically an hour and half of no fluids 30min before and after plus 30 min for the meal. They say the fluid washes the solid foods through your stomach faster making you hungry again sooner and flushing it through givng you less time to absorb the nutrients. I follow this rule and it works well for me but of course everyone should follow their own hospital's rules.
