Does anyone have the name of a good protien shake. One high in protien that tastes good. I am trying to drink more protien again. The one I am using now has 20 grams a scoop. I use 3 scoops in 16 oz of skim milk for the day. Thats about 76 grams of protien just with the protien shakes. They just aren't the best tasting. I got away from it for awhile and I haven't been losing. I have lost 80 lbs so far. I have another 50 to go. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks Carol

I have a really hard time with protein shakes they make me gag :: but I can do the protein drinks like the Isopure is the best one that I have found and they have 40 grmas of protein in a bottle and you can sip it all day. Sorry I can't help you on the shakes. I will keep watching your post and see who says what and see if I can find one that maybe I can drink.

THere is a protein shake it tastes ok, i think its called pro blend 55. That is 55 grams of protein.... but also what i have learned is that your body only absorbs 20 grams of protein at one time... so becareful on wasted calories... i have only tried the chocolate.. http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/hd/pro.html here is a place that has it. If you add the milk it makes it even more protein.

hey Carol... I have been using the same protein since November...I use it every single day 3x a day .. it is by Unjury and can be found at Unjury.com ... I use a scoop of vanilla in my coffee in the morning and I make a shake of milk, frozen berries, 2 tbls of lite yogurt and protein around 2 p.m. every day... I will either make a shake at night or just mix a scoop of chocolate w/ 4 oz of skim milk at night and drink it. I like the vanilla the best but I have to say that that chocolate is pretty good...I am not fond of the unflavored and the Strawberry Sorbet is DISGUSTING - it is a mail order only and I have it on auto ship so that I never run out...each scoop is 20 grams of protein. just a suggestion for you Linda

Hi, Like Heidi said, your body can't absorb more that 30gms of protein at one time, so, if the jub says that two scoops give you 40 or 50 mg of protein, you're just wasting your money and protein powder. I've always used unflavored Unjury (also mentioned here) in V8 and broths...For a chocolate shake, I use the low carb Isopure. They both have 20gms of protein per serving. I don't do a lot of shakes anymore. My doctor doesn't want me to. He prefers me to get in my protein with food and wants me to be on a more balanced diet with good carbs, etc. If I feel weak and out of it, I know I need more protein, so I will make a shake. Shakes are all relative to each individual's taste. It's best if you order some samples online and test them. THat's what I did. Good luck, paula

I like the Isopure drinks in glass bottles, the chocolate Matrix, and the berry ones from smartforme.com.

I use a protien powder called Amplify from GNC i get the chocolate put it in milk and add a spoonfull of simply jiff peanut butter and you have a drink that taste like a reese cup, it is the only powder i can drink i'm very pickyabout food etc. I also use the isopure fruit drinks 40 grams and drink on it all day to spread out the intake. You should always spread out your proten.

Hi Carol, I love the Nectar tea drinks. I mix it with crystal lite peach or raspberry tea. It's yummy. But I also like another one and I can't remember the name, sometimes they advertise on the bottom of our page, it's in a cylinder type container and is something like profl... or something. I will find out if you're interested, but that one is yummy as well. My doctor, too, would like me to not be using protein drinks, but I have trouble digesting protein, so in order to get in my amount, I do still use them. I guess they are better than not having the protein. love donna

I noticed that if I had a tsp or two of splenda to almost any protein shake, it improves it by FAR. I don't know if you will have the same taste. I still put a scoop of protein powder in instant oatmeal every mornining. SOMETIMES.. like once a week i will have oatmeal and protein powder at night if I am hungry after dinner. I may be the slowest loser ever but it is steady..
